Fire Station 8 is currently operated out of a leased building and the Oceanside Fire Department is looking to relocate to a permanent facility. Therefore, the City is pursuing the design and construction of a new fire station on City-owned property. The site will be shared with a City-owned recycled water storage reservoir. The new fire station will reflect a two-story building, approximately 19,000 square feet which will house a ladder truck, engine, and a battalion chief vehicle with accommodations for ten (10) fire personnel.
