A Fire Inspector for the Oceanside Community Risk Reduction Division provides inspections to identify risks and improve the safety for citizens, businesses, property owners and visitors.  A Fire Inspector performs fire life safety inspections to ensure that buildings meet fire codes. 

A Fire Inspector in the Community Risk Reduction Division is responsible for:

How do I become a Fire Inspector?

The California Office of the State Fire Marshal offers classes to become a Fire Inspector.  Oceanside Fire Department also hires part time Fire Inspectors which allows individuals that are passionate in Community Risk Reduction hands on experience to conduct fire inspections and make a difference in the community.
