Each year, cyclists convene in Oceanside ready to prove themselves in Race Across America (RAAM), one of the most respected and longest running endurance sporting events in the world. O’side also hosts the annual Race Across the West (RAW), one of the world’s top RAAM qualifying events. RAAM racers bike 3000 miles across 12 states, climbing 170,000 vertical feet in no more than 12 (for solo riders) to nine days (for teams). RAM riders race 860 miles from Oceanside to Durango, Colorado. The start of the races will take place on June 13th and 17th On the Strand near the Pier Amphitheater. Vehicle registration will take place throughout the week in a portion of Parking Lot 1.
