After 24 years of public safety service in Oceanside, Police Chief Kedrick Sadler announced that he plans to retire on November 10, 2024.  We thank Chief Sadler for his long and dedicated service to the Oceanside community.  He’s led the Police Department with the utmost integrity, transparency, and commitment.

Assistant Police Chief Taurino Valdovinos was selected as our next Chief of Police, efffective November 11, 2024. A swearing-in ceremony for Chief Valdovinos will be conducted on Wednesday, November 13, 2024, at 3:00 p.m. in the City Council Chambers.  All are welcome!
