Each year, cyclists convene in Oceanside ready to prove themselves in Race Across America (RAAM), one of the most respected and longest running endurance sporting events in the world. Starting in Oceanside, RAAM spans over 3000 miles, climbs 175,000 feet, crosses 13 states, in no more than 12 (for solo riders) to nine days (for teams) and finishes on the Boardwalk in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
O’side also hosts the annual Race Across the West (RAW), one of the world’s top RAAM qualifying events. RAW riders race 860 miles from Oceanside to Durango, Colorado.
The two starts for the race take place on June 11th and 15th near the Pier Amphitheater on The Strand.
